On Monday, March 27, the U.S. Senate’s judiciary committee is set to reach an agreement on an immigration bill. The House has already passed a bill last December with the following provisions:
Makes it a felony for illegal immigrants to be in the US
Penalizes employers who hire illegals
Requires construction of fence along US-Mexican border
