Dear Cingular Customer Service,
What customer service? Your agents don’t show any concern for your customers!
I called earlier to check on my online order because there were charges that I didn’t understand. I bought something and there were add ons and I just wanted to know why there were add ons when there were none in the bill.
I talked to one Dave Green over the customer service hotline. When I asked where the add on charges came from, he said, “That’s your problem.”
I thought I misheard. Nope, he did say it was my problem. He told me that since I lived in California, the add ons were taxes. Okaaaay. He could have just said that the add on amount was taxes, period, instead of the assholic comment, “That’s your problem.” I wasn’t saying I refused to pay the amount, I just wanted to know what in heck I was paying for.
Earlier, someone from the office called and did some maintenance with her phone account. The call to CS got dropped after she was with the agent for 15-20 minutes. Then when she called again, she had to repeat her inquiry from square one. Don’t you have a system where someone logs on the complaint so the next agent who gets it doesn’t have to let the customer repeat again? I know even the third-world Philippines has some kind of system like this in place.
Then I googled and discovered that there are a lot of complaints about Cingular’s customer service. Too bad, they offer good deals in terms of the mobile service but if customer service remains this way, they’re driving their customers away instead of keeping them.
I don’t want to move carriers but I will if this keeps up.

Yeah, they about drove me away. But I think I might hang on to them for a little while; actually, I really have no choice when my parents are deciding what service we’ll use as a family. I’ll just pay my share and be happy. I hope!
Good luck!

I know. If there were other better options, I’d switch too. I’m still thinking about going to t-mobile, I tried their pre-paid service before and it was great. I only wish t-mobile had free mobile to mobile, nights and weekends for the price that Cingular offers.

I think Cingular has the worst serviuce since ATT bought them.
I will cancel my family plan and the 40 phones my company has.
Do Not get Cingular service!

Cingular advertises, they have the least dropped calls,ha,ha. Since that ad hit the airways, I have had more dropped calls in the last year, than I had using AT&T from 1998 to 2004. I can’t use my phone for more than 6 or 7 minutes without being dropped. The only excuse they give me is that I need to shut off my phone each night and give it a rest. I only use about 300 minutes of my 600 minute plan per month. I have over 3500 roll over minutes saved up. How much more rest does it need. By the way, I do shut it off about twice a week. I’m with you when it comes to Cingular, they suck royally. My contract is up and I am looking into another service.

I still haven’t switched yet. But I think I have to start to actively look for plans.

Surprise, surprise! This post has gotten quite a number of hits recently. Might it be that there are more dissatisfied customers on Cingular?
