Really delayed post on Biden-Palin debate

Yes, I promised to blog about Palin but didn’t. Suffice it to say that I, together with two friends, watched the VP debate while we were on vacation at a remote beach. Yes, we were such nerds. Even if we wanted to just soak in the sea and sand, Palin’s magnetism drew us to sacrifice an hour of that time to watch.

I loved how she pronounced nu-cu-lear instead of nuclear. And how she didn’t answer the questions she didn’t know the answer to but instead, brought up her favorite topic, on energy. I also loved how she said unlike you Washington insiders and you betcha. Haha.

But sorry, Sarah bear, Joe takes the drama moment of the debate, when he talked about losing his wife and raising his kids as a single dad. That was worth an award right there because yes, Joe is a regular guy who lost a wife, raised kids, married a teacher, stayed married for 30 years, and still commutes to work on a regular basis. He just sounds smarter than you do.

Of course I had to watch Tina Fey on SNL parody Sarah Palin. I didn’t notice that first that it was Queen Latifah who was the moderator, I really thought she was Gwen Ifill all along when I was watching it from someone else’s computer screen. Haha to me.

But what is this little arguments we see between McCain and Palin, arguments that are making its way into the media? How this plays out should be interesting.

Now if only the SNL skits were readily available on youtube or could load faster without delays, life in the third world wouldn’t be as bad, especially since I can now watch up to date episodes of my favorite shows online without having to download them and AXN actually airs the US version of the Amazing Race 24 hours after it hits US TVs. Ain’t life grand.

  • heard about the ateneo bonfire incident?

  • On the debate, the Palin impersonation was funny, but what i really liked was the Biden joke. There is something weird, when you say you really like someone as a friend, yet despise his political position…. hehehe. Its like having your cake and eating it too…

  • Hey Gabby.

    What bonfire incident?

Re Biden, I think you can be friends with a person but despise his political position. I know a couple who have totally opposite political viewpoints but are still together. I have friends who I don’t agree with too most of the time. It doesn’t mean that I can’t be friends with them anymore, it just means that there are times when I want to strangle them for not agreeing with me but it makes for interesting conversations. :)
